Fresh Finds, Tierra Cast Pewter Beads and Findings

September 13th, 2008

tierracast.jpg

Just in!  I found this wonderful new supplier, Tierra Cast.  They are a manufacturer out of Santa Rosa, California.  These beads and findings are a superior quality “lead free” pewter product that is made of a tin alloy called Britannia and electroplated using precious metals Fine Silver, 22 Karat gold, Rhodium and Copper.

I have brought in almost 60 different items to start this new collection.  The selection is a diverse one including spacers, bead caps, bails, and other components.  With most of the designs chosen, I selected three finish types, silver, gold and copper.  The prices range from $.15 ea up to $5.00 ea.  This line may be a little pricier than other pewter items out there, but when you see the quality of this American made product, you will know why I went the extra mile to bring them into the store.

Fresh Finds, Pashmina Scarves

August 9th, 2008

img_4685.jpg

Pashminas are something completely new to Adorn.  I have had woven scarves before, but nothing as fine as these.  I purchased a wide variety of colors and two different patterns.  The first is a Jacquard in Multi-Color Rainbow Striped Pattern. The multiple colors of each design in the fabric are so rich that they instantly create an eye-popping effect. There are 6-7 colors mixed in each shawl.  The second is a Jacquard in Paisley Pattern. (10″ wide subtle pattern at both ends. Other part is in solid color)

All of the Pashmina Scarves are 72” X 28”; plus 4” fringe to both ends; and are 70% Pashmina and 30% silk.  Silk is blended to strengthen the Pashmina fabric and gives the shawl a slender drape, sleeker
and more delicate feel.

Every one is beautiful and luxurious.  I wish I could own them all, but I want to share them with all of you.  They are suggested to retail at $50 but I am offering them to my customers for a steal.  You know me, I never try to take advantage.

At Adorn you can take any of the beautiful Pashminas home for $26.  Enjoy!

Fresh Finds, Handbags by Mad Bags

August 9th, 2008

img_4686.jpg

Right now I have a new and full selection of handbags by Mad Bags.  There are many new silk purses and shell purses to choose from.  The range in color, and style is the best I have ever had in the store.  I went a little crazy ordering the shell bags.  They are all too beautiful to choose just a few.  The prices range from $14 - $48.  The wallet pouches make a great gift, or simply treat yourself to something a little unusual.  I promise you will receive many compliments on any choice from this line.

Fresh Finds, Fidelia Leather Handbags by Hananel

A brand new item to the store.  These amazing leather handbags in a mock-croc are perfect for the fall/winter season.  They feature wonderful organization and are constructed beautifully.  I currently have three color choices, tan, brown and red and five different styles.  Each bag looks like a million bucks but the prices range from $58-$74.  Compare that to any leather bag in a mall setting, you would easily pay $150 or more.

Audrey’s Pick of the Day, Card Cases

August 8th, 2008

“Just a minute, let me give you my card.”

Audrey is a true business girl.   She is ready to conquer the world and wants everyone to remember who she is.   Today she was looking for a sharp and professional way to house her baby cards.  Audrey came across a selection of different style cases in silver, gold, colorful and casual.  She chose the classic shiny gold case with engraved embellishments.  At $12 it is just in her price range.

Annual Downtown Sidewalk Sale

July 24th, 2008

img_4628.jpg

Downtown Canandaigua is having it’s annual sidewalk sale starting today, Thursday the 24th - Sunday the 27th.  Since I do not have a sidewalk, and am not open on Sundays, I am having an indoor limited selection sale.  Many of my Summer purses are marked 25% off.  Select styles only.  This offer does not include and seatbelt bags, evening bags and shell tile bags.  I will also have a small selection of clearance items that have either been hanging around a while or have an imperfection.

Stop by now, this will only last until Saturday July 26th.

Audrey’s Pick of the Day, Wallets

July 24th, 2008

Time to get organized.  Today Audrey is choosing a wallet for her baby purse.  She is having a hard time deciding between the longer and shorter style wallets.   Both are filled with many slots to hold cards, pockets for papers and zippered pockets for coin .  The decision isn’t about price, they are only two dollars apart, short at $14 and long at $16. She is favoring the longer wallet because it has a place for her piggy-bank checkbook.   Now to choose a color and pattern from the many that are in the shop.  It’s a hard life.

Audrey’s Pick of the Day, shopping for baby

July 23rd, 2008

Today Audrey wanted to take her baby shopping.  She feels that babies need accessories too.  So for baby, Audrey found 2 fun bubble bracelets; one in hot pink, the other in sunny yellow.  They were in the price range she was looking for at $6 ea.  She didn’t want to buy anything too expensive for baby.

While she was looking around Audrey also found something for herself.  A wonderful handmade stone pendant with glass chip necklace for only $14.  Perfect for days like this when she is running around with her little one.  Something to add some pizazz to her outfit without being too fussy.  Audrey being the free thinker that she is, likes to wear it draped over her neck rather than clasped around it.  I think by the end of the day carrying her baby around she may find that conforming to the typical way of wearing a necklace may not be a bad idea after all.
